In El Marginal season 1 episode 6, titled "Chapter 6," tensions are high between the inmates as they struggle to navigate the complex dynamics of prison life. Miguel, the new inmate who arrived in the previous episode, is feeling the pressure as he tries to prove himself to the other prisoners. He soon discovers that he must make alliances and choose sides if he wants to survive.
Meanwhile, the corrupt prison warden, Antin, is dealing with his own problems. He needs a kidney transplant but has been informed that he doesn't meet the requirements for a legal transplant. In order to get the transplant he needs, Antin turns to a notorious organ dealer, Luna, for help. Luna agrees to provide Antin with a kidney in exchange for a large sum of money, putting Antin in an even more precarious position.
As alliances and tensions continue to shift amongst the inmates, The Pastor, a powerful and influential prisoner, begins to exert his control over the prison's underground economy. He manipulates Miguel into working for him and even begins to recruit some of the prison guards to his cause. The Pastor's power grab is threatened, however, when one of his own associates is discovered to have been colluding with the rival gang, La Sub 21.
As the episode comes to a close, tensions are at an all-time high, and the delicate balance of power in the prison is on the brink of collapse. Miguel is faced with a difficult decision, while Antin's deal with Luna could have disastrous consequences for both him and the other inmates. With each passing episode, El Marginal continues to be a gripping and intense portrait of life in one of the most notorious prisons in Argentina.
