Follow The Money Season 1 Episode 1 Episode 1

In episode 1 of Follow the Money season 1, we are introduced to a number of characters and plotlines that will set the stage for the rest of the season. The series takes place primarily in Denmark and follows the pursuit of financial crime.

We first meet Mads, a detective who has recently been relegated to working in the fraud division after a scandal in his past. He is eager to prove himself and make a name for himself in this new department. Mads is tasked with investigating a case involving a fraud scheme that seems to be laundering money through a seemingly legitimate company called Energreen.

Energreen is a green energy startup that is trying to secure investment from a major player in the energy industry. Its CEO, Sander, is a charismatic and ambitious man who seems to be willing to do whatever it takes to grow his company, including engaging in questionable financial practices. Alongside Sander is Claudia, the company's CFO, who seems to have a strained relationship with her boss.

Meanwhile, we are also introduced to Nicky, a young mechanic who works for a company that is contracted to work on a wind farm owned by Energreen. Nicky is desperate for money and becomes involved in the fraud scheme when he is recruited to do some off-the-books work for Energreen.

As Mads investigates the case, he begins to uncover the extent of the fraud scheme and the web of corruption that seems to be involved. Along the way, he butts heads with his superiors, including a chief who seems more interested in protecting the interests of the powerful than in bringing the criminals to justice.

The episode sets up ongoing tensions and conflicts between the various characters, as well as introduces a number of subplots that will likely be developed further in future episodes. Overall, episode 1 of Follow the Money is a strong start to the series and promises plenty of intrigue and excitement in the episodes to come.
