God Friended Me is a heartwarming show that follows the journey of an atheist, Miles, who receives a friend request from God on social media. He is then directed towards people who need help and guidance, and with the help of his friends, he tries to make their lives better. In season 1 episode 13, titled "Miracle on 123rd Street," Miles is faced with a challenge unlike any other.

The episode begins with Miles sitting on a bench in Central Park as he contemplates his faith and his purpose in life. He is approached by a man named Henry, who asks for his help. Henry is a street musician, and he has been playing in the same location for years. However, he has recently been served an eviction notice, and he needs Miles’ help to figure out why.

Miles and Henry go to the address on the eviction notice, which happens to be on 123rd Street. They are surprised to find that the building is a church, and they are greeted by the Reverend, who is also perplexed by the eviction order. The church has been struggling financially, and they haven't had a choir in years, but they don't understand why they're being evicted. Miles and Henry promise to find out what's going on, and they set off on their mission.

Meanwhile, Miles' father, Arthur, is struggling to come to terms with his ex-wife's new relationship. His bitterness towards her has been causing a rift between him and his daughter, Ali. His feelings are compounded by the fact that Ali's boyfriend, the Reverend's son, is joining the church choir, which is causing him to feel like he's losing his daughter. He confides in his friend, Rakesh, who advises him to try and move on and be happy for Ali.

Back at the church, Miles and Henry start to understand why the eviction order was given. The church's mortgage was sold to a developer who plans to demolish the building and replace it with a condo complex. This news is devastating to the Reverend and his congregation, who have put a lot of love and effort into the building over the years. They try to fight back, but they know it's an uphill battle.

Miles is not one to give up easily, and he comes up with a plan to save the church. He starts a social media campaign, asking people to come and sing in the church choir to raise awareness of the situation. To his surprise, people from all over the city, of all ages, races, and religions, come together to sing in the church. The social media campaign quickly goes viral, and it attracts the attention of a local news station.

The news station broadcasts the event and interviews the Reverend, who speaks passionately about the importance of the church to the community. The story catches the attention of the developer, who decides to meet with the Reverend to discuss a possible compromise. The result is a compromise that allows the church to stay open, and the developer agrees to build a community center on the same property.

In the end, Miles is moved by the power of music and the unity that was created through the church choir. Arthur also comes around and apologizes to Ali for his behavior. He promises to be more supportive of her and her boyfriend, recognizing that he needs to move on and be happy for her.

"Miracle on 123rd Street" is a heartwarming episode that shows the power of coming together and fighting for what you believe in. It's a beautiful reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a brighter future.
