Local expert Alejandra Magana introduces us to the local craft ice cream and a pre-Hispanic recipe with Teresa de Jesús before trying an innovative recipe by David Quevedo. Recipes include bass in a citrus case.

The historic town of Penjamo has a lot to offer: history, architecture, and delicious cuisine. Alejandra Magana takes us to the local market, introducing us to dishes from the altiplano and showing how the chef Jorge Perez Luque brings a new twist to traditional recipes. Recipes include pork fillet in tequila.

Leon boasts a wealth of history and a treasure trove of culinary delights. Alejandra Magana introduces us to its street food and learns about the difference between tortillas and largas from the traditional chef Monica Núnez. Recipes include Frog in capon sauce.

The series moves on to explore San Miguel de Allende, another town given special status by UNESCO. Alejandra Magana introduces us to some of its historical and gastronomic highlights including the Mercado de las Artesanias before meeting the traditional cook Maria Guadalupe and the contemporary chef Victor Palma. Recipes include Black ceviche with huachinango fish ash.
