In iCarly season 1 episode 22, called "iFence," Carly, Sam, and Freddie decide to create a new segment for their web show where they take requests from viewers and fulfill them on the show. They receive a request from a fan who asks them to perform a fencing routine, which they agree to do. However, they soon realize they have no experience in fencing and must find a way to learn quickly before their performance.

Carly suggests they take fencing lessons from Spencer, her older brother, who was a champion fencer in high school. Spencer agrees to teach them, but he is out of practice and not as talented as he used to be. The group struggles to grasp the basics of fencing, but they eventually start to pick it up thanks to Spencer's guidance.

Things take a turn when they run into Spencer's old fencing nemesis, Vance Anderson, who is still competing and has a large ego. Vance challenges Spencer and the iCarly crew to a fencing match, which they agree to. However, Vance cheats during the match by using electrical epees to gain an unfair advantage.

After losing to Vance, Spencer becomes determined to beat him in a rematch. He challenges Vance to another match, but this time, he insists on using older, manual epees to even the playing field. The two engage in a heated fencing battle, and with Carly, Sam, and Freddie cheering him on, Spencer is able to defeat Vance and reclaim his fencing glory.

Meanwhile, Gibby becomes obsessed with a video game and neglects his duties as the sound guy for iCarly. Carly and Sam are frustrated with his lack of commitment, but Freddie encourages them to give Gibby a chance to prove himself. After a talk with Freddie, Gibby realizes he needs to take his role seriously and promises to do better. He proves himself by creating impressive sound effects during the fencing segment, earning Carly and Sam's respect.

Throughout the episode, there are also some subplots involving Carly's crush on a boy from school and Sam's obsession with a local smoothie shop. These plots add some comedic moments to the episode and round out the storyline.

Overall, "iFence" is a fun episode that showcases the iCarly crew's determination and willingness to try new things, even if they are not experts. The fencing scenes are entertaining, and the victory over Vance is satisfying. The subplot with Gibby also adds a nice touch by showing his growth and commitment to the iCarly team.
