As Simon Reeve continues his journey around the world, he finds himself in some of the most remote and beautiful corners of the planet. In this episode, he explores the islands of the Pacific, home to some of the most incredible wildlife on the planet.

Starting in Papua New Guinea, Simon meets the locals who live in harmony with the natural world around them, taking from it only what they need to survive. He witnesses the traditional "sing-sing" dance, a vibrant display of colorful costumes and exuberant energy that celebrates the cultural diversity of the region.

Moving on to the Solomon Islands, Simon dives among the coral reefs, encountering a bewildering variety of fish and other marine creatures. He explores the remains of a World War II battle, a reminder of the violent past of the region.

Next, it's on to the archipelago of Vanuatu, where Simon encounters the world-famous "land divers". These intrepid men jump from wooden towers with vines tied to their ankles, testing their bravery and skill. Simon also meets the people of Pentecost Island, who live in some of the most isolated and untouched parts of the world.

Finally, Simon visits Easter Island, one of the most remote inhabited islands on the planet. Here he learns about the mysterious Moai statues that dominate the landscape, and the ancient culture of the Rapa Nui people.

Throughout his travels, Simon meets fascinating people and encounters stunning natural beauty. He learns about the challenges of life in remote parts of the world, and the efforts being made to preserve these incredible places for future generations.
