Ep 4. Episode 4

Leila is a dystopian Indian show that is set in the future, where a society called Aryavarta exists. It follows the journey of Shalini, a mother, and a wife, who is frantically searching for her daughter, Leila, who was taken away from her forcefully. The show is a social commentary on a patriarchal society and deals with themes of power, discrimination, and control.

Episode 4 takes us deeper into the city of Aryavarta, where Shalini is still struggling to find information about her daughter. She has left her brother's house and is on the streets with a few leads that she has managed to acquire. The episode starts with her trying to get into an exclusive tower society called Indramal, where the elites of the society live.

Indramal is a gated society that only allows certain people inside. Shalini encounters a woman who is walking her dog, and the woman tells her that she can help her get inside the society. She introduces herself as Sapna and tells Shalini that she works for the society and can get her entry.

Shalini agrees, and they both go inside the society. Indramal is picture-perfect on the outside, but as they go inside, Shalini realizes that there is more to the society than it seems. Sapna takes her to a building where she tells her that Leila might be there. Shalini sneaks inside the building, but she is caught by the guards, and they take her to the leader of the society, Joshi.

Joshi is a powerful man who has a lot of influence, and he doesn't like strangers in his society. He questions Shalini about her presence there and threatens to kill her. However, Sapna intervenes, and she tells Joshi that Shalini is her friend and that she can vouch for her.

Joshi reluctantly agrees, and he lets Shalini go. Sapna tells Shalini that she needs to stay away from Joshi and that he is a dangerous man. Shalini leaves the society, and she continues her search for Leila.

Leila, on the other hand, is in a place called the Re-Educational Center, where she is being brainwashed to forget her past and become a loyal citizen of Aryavarta. She is put through several tests and is made to do various activities, like running on a treadmill, learning how to sew, and memorizing the history of Aryavarta.

Leila is struggling to adjust to her new life, and she is still trying to remember her past. She befriends a girl named Priya, who is also in the center. Priya tells her that she has been in the center for months and that she has forgotten her past. She tells Leila that the only way to survive in the center is to forget everything else and to focus on being a good citizen.

Meanwhile, Shalini is still on the streets, trying to find information about Leila. She meets a man named Noman, who is part of a resistance group that is fighting against the regime. Noman tells her that he can help her find Leila, but he needs her to do something for him first.

He tells her that there is a man named Rizwan who is going to be executed for an alleged crime that he did not commit. Noman wants Shalini to help him free Rizwan from the prison, and in return, he will help her find Leila.

Shalini agrees, and they both go to the prison, where Shalini distracts the guards while Noman tries to free Rizwan. However, things don't go as planned, and they get caught. Shalini is arrested, and she is taken to the same center where Leila is.

The episode ends with Shalini and Leila seeing each other for the first time in months, as they are both imprisoned in the Re-Educational Center.
