Madrid, 1985. Oskar, a young man of humble origins, earns his living as an aerobics teacher, but his dream is to open his own gym. To do so, he seeks financial help from his uncle Manuel, an unemployed miner who doesn't know what to do with his severance pay. One day, while uncle and nephew discuss their project in a bar, a couple begins to fight violently in front of them. When he comes to the young woman's aid, and even though he scares away her aggressor, the woman only gets angry and scolds Oskar, assuring him that she doesn't need anyone to defend her. Soon after, the young woman shows up at the gym where Oskar works. Her name is Sara Farad and she wants to apologize for her attitude. She tells him that her family engages in very important business, and is interested in Oskar's gym project and his determined attitude to life.
