Ep 1. The Daggett Camp

In the first episode of Maine Cabin Masters, the team is tasked with renovating a dilapidated hunting camp on Daggett Lake. Chase, Ashley, and Ryan arrive at the campsite to assess the situation and are immediately struck by the state of disrepair. The cabin is falling apart, with holes in the roof and walls, and the interior is full of debris and animal droppings.

Undaunted, the team gets to work, with Chase leading the charge. They begin by tearing out all the old fixtures and appliances, including the wood stove and plumbing. This proves to be a difficult task, as everything is rusted and clogged with years of neglect. However, they persist and manage to get everything removed.

Next, they turn their attention to the roof. While some members of the team work on patching holes and reinforcing structural beams, others start installing new insulation and sheathing. This involves climbing up onto the roof, which presents its own set of challenges, as it is steep and slippery.

Inside the cabin, Ashley and her team start working on the floors and walls. They remove all the old carpeting and linoleum, revealing a beautiful wood floor underneath. They then sand and refinish the floor, giving it a fresh new look. At the same time, they rip out the old paneling and replace it with fresh drywall. This gives the interior a more modern feel, while still retaining the rustic charm of a classic Maine hunting lodge.

With the roof and interior in good shape, the team turns its attention to the kitchen. They install new countertops and cabinets, along with a new sink and stove. They also add some new lighting fixtures, which brighten up the space and make it feel more welcoming.

Outside, Ryan and his team begin work on the deck. They tear out the old, rotted boards and replace them with fresh lumber. They also add some new railings and stairs, to make the deck safer and more functional.

As the days go by, the cabin begins to transform before their eyes. What was once a run-down, neglected hunting camp is now a cozy, inviting retreat. The final touches include a new coat of paint on the exterior and some tasteful decor inside.

When all is said and done, the team is proud of the work they've done. They've breathed new life into an old cabin, and given the owners a place they can enjoy for years to come. And, in the process, they've fallen in love with the beauty and charm of the Maine wilderness.
