Meanwhile, Michael tries to win Kimberly back by giving her a painting as a gift, but she realizes that it is a forgery and becomes angry with him. Jane struggles with the decision to continue her relationship with Richard, knowing that it could ruin her career. Jo and Jake work together to uncover evidence of a construction company's illegal dumping practices, but their investigation has unexpected consequences. Finally, Amanda has a confrontation with her estranged father when he returns to town and tries to make amends.
