Midsomer Murders Favorites Season 3 Episode 3 Red in Tooth & Claw

In the episode titled Red in Tooth & Claw, Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby and his partner Detective Sergeant Gavin Troy are investigating a case where a local veterinarian has been found murdered on his farm. The victim, James Kirkwood, was known to be a keen collector of fossils and items related to natural history.

As the detectives delve deeper into the case, they discover that the murdered vet had many enemies in the close-knit community of Midsomer. There were issues with his troubled marriage, his financial problems, and his involvement in various feuds with his neighbors. Additionally, there is the matter of a valuable dinosaur fossil that appears to have gone missing, which may have played a part in the killing.

As the investigation progresses, Barnaby and Troy encounter a wide range of eccentric and colorful characters, including a birdwatcher who is obsessed with spotting a rare bird, a wealthy businessman who has his sights set on expanding his animal feed business, and a charismatic TV presenter who has a connection to the victim.

The detectives are hard-pressed to find a motive for the killing and the more they investigate, the more tangled the case becomes. Is the murder linked to the fossil? Or to the victim's involvement in a local bird conservation project?

Despite the challenges, Barnaby and Troy, with their usual acumen and a lot of grit, manage to untangle the web of deceit and bring the culprit to justice in the end.

Red in Tooth & Claw is a classic Midsomer Murders episode with plenty of twists and turns, noteworthy performances, and a clever whodunit that will keep viewers guessing till the end.
