They are able to fight off the thugs and rescue Shinwoo, but not before M-21 uses the serum on himself, becoming an incredibly powerful being. Raizel recognizes M-21's ability and decides to offer him the chance to join his organization, which aims to protect humans and vampires alike.

The episode ends with Raizel reflecting on the events of the day and realizing that he has found a reason to fight, to protect those who are important to him and to keep peace between humans and vampires.
