Ep 10. The Toll

Wendy and Marty are struggling to reconcile with each other after their recent marital issues. However, Marty is more preoccupied with the casino deal and trying to find a way to get the funds to finish the project while Wendy is dealing with the aftermath of her affair with Gary. They decide to take a weekend getaway to try and reconnect but stumbling upon a corpse at their lake resort completely changes their plans.

The corpse is identified as one of the men from Del's crew who has been missing for some time. This is the third person from this crew to go missing recently and Marty is instantly suspicious. He believes that Del is behind this and that they may be in danger. However, Wendy is convinced that it's just a coincidence and doesn't think that they have anything to worry about.

Marty wants to leave the resort immediately and head back to the Ozarks to try and sort everything out, but Wendy is more reluctant to go. She thinks that they need to stay and enjoy their weekend as planned but Marty won't budge. Eventually, Wendy agrees to leave with him, but they soon realize that they are being followed by a car that has been tailing them since the resort.

Marty is convinced that the car is Del's men and that they need to act fast. They decide to split up, with Wendy taking the kids and heading home while Marty tries to lose the car that is following him. Marty eventually manages to lose the car and heads home, but they soon realize that they have bigger problems to deal with.

Ruth's father, Cade, has been released from prison earlier than expected and he's looking to make up for lost time. He's also looking to get his hands on some money, and he sees the Byrdes as a potential source of it. He starts by confronting Marty and demanding that he gives him some money, but Marty refuses. Cade doesn't take kindly to being denied and starts causing trouble for the Byrdes.

Marty is also facing problems with the Snells, who are unhappy with the way that he has been running things. They are especially unhappy with the fact that he has been working with Jacob's rival in the heroin business. Marty tries to smooth things over with them but they're not interested in listening. They want him to start working with them exclusively and they're willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

Meanwhile, Wendy is dealing with her own issues as she tries to come to terms with Gary's death. She's also trying to figure out how to deal with the fact that she had an affair and whether or not she should tell Marty about it. She's not sure if she can keep it a secret forever, but she's also not sure if telling him would be the right thing to do.

As tensions continue to escalate, Marty and Wendy are forced to make some tough choices. They need to figure out how to deal with Cade, the Snells, and the fallout from Gary's death while also trying to keep their casino deal on track. It's a delicate balancing act that requires them to be at the top of their game, but they're up for the challenge.

The toll of all of this stress and pressure starts to take its toll on both of them, and they begin to wonder if it's all worth it. However, they know that they can't give up now. They're in too deep and quitting now would mean risking everything they've worked so hard for. They'll have to keep pushing forward, no matter the cost.
