In Peaky Blinders season 1 episode 6, the Shelby family faces a new threat as a rival gang, the Lee family, arrives in Birmingham with the intention of taking over the city's criminal underworld. Tommy begins to take steps to protect his family and their interests, but his actions only serve to escalate the conflict.

Meanwhile, Polly is forced to confront her past when her estranged son, Michael, comes to visit her. She struggles to reconcile her love for her son with the guilt and shame she feels over her past mistakes. Ada, too, is dealing with family issues when she discovers that she is pregnant with Freddie's child.

As the tensions between the Shelbys and the Lees heighten, Inspector Campbell continues his dogged pursuit of Tommy and the other members of the Peaky Blinders. Ada discovers that Freddie has been arrested and faces the possibility of execution for his involvement with the Irish Republican Army.

With so many challenges facing them, the Shelbys must rally together or risk losing everything they've worked so hard to build. As the episode comes to a close, it's clear that the stakes have never been higher and the future has never been more uncertain.
