Billions is a no-holds-barred kind of television show that follows generous billionaire hedge fund owner Bobby "Axe" Axelrod. The show revolves around Bobby Axelrod's extremely successful hedge fund company called Axe Capital. In addition to Axe's incredible success, he is also a 9/11 survivor that pays the college tuition and board of all of the children of his friends and coworkers that did not survive the attack.

As the show goes on, the viewer begins to discover that part of Axe's overwhelming success is the result of insider trading. This information hits the desk of U.S. attorney Chuck Rhoades, an unforgiving and masochistic prosecutor with a record of 81-0 in prosecutions of financial crimes. Initially he is apprehensive about pursuing this information as he believes that Axe is too well liked to prosecute, but a large purchase by Axe eventually sways Chuck's opinion and the battle between the two begins.

Drama arises throughout the entirety of the show, with Chuck's wife working at Axe Capital comes a burning conflict of interest, and Chuck's fierce pursuit of the law creating pain and destruction that makes him question himself every step of the way. The show is rife with heated conflict, and viewers can only guess whether or not Chuck will be able to take down one of America's most beloved men in the name of justice.
