In this episode of Peaky Blinders, titled "Heathens," tensions continue to rise between the Shelby family and the Italian mafia. Tommy Shelby, the leader of the Peaky Blinders, is determined to maintain control over their territory in Birmingham, but his enemies are closing in.

The episode begins with Tommy attending a funeral, where he runs into an old acquaintance from his days in the war. The man, a former soldier, is now a priest and offers Tommy some words of advice. Meanwhile, Polly, Tommy's aunt and business partner, meets with Luca Changretta, a member of the Italian mafia who has come to Britain seeking revenge for the death of his father.

As Polly negotiates with Luca, tensions rise between the two groups, and it becomes clear that a war is brewing. In order to protect his family, Tommy enlists the help of Alfie Solomons, a Jewish gangster who he has worked with in the past. Alfie agrees to help, but warns Tommy that he cannot guarantee their safety.

With war on the horizon, the Shelby family prepares for battle. John, one of Tommy's brothers, takes charge of training the men in hand-to-hand combat, while Arthur, another brother, procures weapons and ammunition. As they prepare for the worst, Tommy receives a surprise visit from an old flame, who offers him some much-needed comfort.

As the day of the battle approaches, tensions mount, and it becomes clear that the stakes are high. Lives will be lost, and alliances will be tested. The outcome of this conflict will shape the future of the Peaky Blinders and their place in Birmingham's criminal underworld.

Throughout the episode, we see glimpses of the past that have shaped the characters' present-day realities. We witness the trauma that Tommy and other soldiers experienced during the war and the impact it has had on their lives since. We learn more about Polly's troubled past and the sacrifices she has made for her family. And we see how the events of previous seasons have come back to haunt the Shelby family.

"Heathens" is a tense and gripping episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The writing is superb, and the acting is top-notch. Cillian Murphy delivers another mesmerizing performance as Tommy Shelby, and the supporting cast is equally impressive.

As the episode ends, we are left with a cliffhanger that hints at even more trouble to come. It's clear that the stakes have never been higher for the Peaky Blinders, and we can't wait to see how this season plays out.
