Back at Pedro's house, his mother, sons, and sister are also experiencing their fair share of turmoil. His mother, Hortensia, is determined to find a suitable wife for Pedro and constantly sets him up on dates with eligible young women from high society. Pedro's sister, Jimena, on the other hand, has been caught up in an affair with her married boss, leading to a number of complications and secret rendezvous.
As the episode progresses, Pedro desperately tries to distance himself from Julia, using all sorts of elaborate schemes and excuses to avoid her. He even enlists the help of his best friend, Perafán, who is a skilled liar and master of deception. Together, they come up with a plan to pretend that Pedro is a reformed man who has found God and is determined to live a more virtuous life. However, their plan backfires spectacularly when Julia sees through their ruse and confronts Pedro, leaving him feeling more trapped than ever before.
