In Season 2 Episode 7 of Pose titled "Blow," the ballroom is struck with tragedy when AIDS takes its toll on the community. As the vogue scene continues to grow, so does the discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. Pray Tell, who has been using drugs to cope, overdoses and winds up in the hospital.

Blanca and her family are searching for some sense of security in a world that constantly tells them they don't belong. Blanca takes charge and tries to rally her friends and family to support her latest house mother competition, ultimately bringing them closer together.

Meanwhile, Elektra continues to feel trapped in her relationship with her wealthy benefactor, who she fears will expose her secret and ruin her reputation. Damon, ever the optimist, tries to help Elektra see her worth and find self-love, though it proves to be a daunting task.

Angel, after experiencing her own setback in the modeling world, turns to her relationship with Stan for solace. However, she begins to realize that their love may not be as perfect as she thought it was, and the two must grapple with the reality of their relationship.

As the episode progresses, the ballroom community comes together to support Pray Tell, who is struggling to stay alive. Members of rival houses come together to help raise money for his medical bills, proving that even in the face of adversity, family is family.
