In the second episode of the first season of Reservation Dogs, titled "NDN Clinic," the story continues to follow the four young Native American friends who call themselves the Reservation Dogs. Led by Bear, the group sets out on a mission to steal medical supplies from a nearby clinic in order to help one of their own.

The episode begins with Bear's best friend, Elora Danan, falling ill. When they take her to the local clinic, they are turned away and told to come back later due to COVID-19 restrictions. This sets off a chain of events that leads Bear to devise a plan to break into the clinic and steal the medicine that Elora needs.

Along the way, we learn more about the struggles that the Reservation Dogs face on a daily basis. We see the poverty that affects their lives and the difficulties they face in getting access to basic medical care. The show does an excellent job of highlighting the challenges faced by Indigenous communities in the United States, including the lack of resources and funding for proper medical care.

The episode also delves deeper into the relationships between the characters. We see more of the connection between Bear and Elora, and how their friendship has developed over the years. We also learn more about Willie Jack, who is dealing with her own family issues while also struggling to find her place within the group.

As the group sets out to execute their plan, viewers are taken on a wild ride that involves breaking into the clinic, avoiding security guards, and stealing medical supplies. But the stakes are raised when the group realizes they have stolen the wrong medication. Now, they must come up with a new plan to get the medication that Elora needs, without getting caught.

One of the standout aspects of this episode is its use of humor. The show manages to tackle serious issues while still infusing the story with plenty of laughs. From Willie Jack's hilarious attempts at being a lookout to Cheese's quirky personality, the show does an excellent job of balancing the serious and the comedic.

The acting in this episode is also top-notch. D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai shines as Bear, bringing a depth and vulnerability to the character that makes us root for him even when he's making questionable decisions. Meanwhile, Elora Danan is played with authenticity and sincerity by Devery Jacobs, who captures the pain and vulnerability of a young woman who is struggling with her health.

Overall, "NDN Clinic" is a strong episode that continues to build on the promise of the series premiere. It's a poignant and humorous look at the lives of Native American youth, and it tackles issues that are rarely seen on television. With excellent performances and a well-crafted storyline, it's a standout episode that leaves viewers eagerly anticipating what's next for the Reservation Dogs.
