In Sea Princesses season 1 episode 22, titled "The Big Chill / A Weighty Problem," the underwater adventures of the teenage mermaids continue. The princesses, Ester, Tubarina, Polvina, and their friends Delfi and Hugo, are faced with two different challenges.
In the first episode, "The Big Chill," the waters in Salacia suddenly become very cold, causing all the creatures to freeze. The Sea Princesses quickly realize that they need to figure out the cause of the sudden drop in temperature and find a solution before it's too late. They suspect that the temperature has something to do with the nearby icebergs. The group puts their heads together and come up with a plan that involves using the warmth from the Salacia School's generator to melt the icebergs before they reach the Salacia waters. But the generators may not be powerful enough, and the mermaids must act fast before their ocean is frozen over.
In the second episode, "A Weighty Problem," Tubarina is feeling self-conscious about her weight and decides to do something about it. She tries various methods to lose weight, including dieting and exercise, but none of them seem to be working. Her negative mood begins to affect her friendships, but her friends try to reassure her that she is perfect the way she is. It takes a health scare for Tubarina to realize that her weight is not the most important thing about her, and she learns to love and accept herself for who she is.
As always, the Sea Princesses face their challenges with determination and good humor. In both episodes, the characters show their respect for the environment and demonstrate that taking care of their ocean is of the utmost importance. "The Big Chill / A Weighty Problem" is a heartwarming and educational episode that is sure to entertain children and adults alike.
