Back on the case, Olivia and Tom eventually locate the victim's video diary, which reveals that she was being blackmailed by someone who knew about her involvement with the businessman. The video also provides a potential suspect in the case.

As Olivia and Tom work to track down the blackmailer, they enlist the help of a tech-savvy hacker and discover that the blackmailer is someone they never would have suspected.

The episode ends with Olivia and Tom finally getting a break in the case and making progress towards solving the murder. However, the consequences of Tom's drug use are starting to catch up with him, leading to a cliffhanger ending that leaves us wondering what will happen next.
