Meanwhile, Daphne and Scrappy venture into the castle's vast library, hoping to uncover clues about the elusive Beagle Scare. As they investigate, they come across a forbidden book that reveals the true nature of the Shadow Demon and its malevolent powers. Filled with curiosity, they cautiously study the text, desperate to find a way to vanquish this formidable adversary.

Back in the kitchen, Scooby, Shaggy, and Flim-Flam are delightedly devouring a seemingly endless supply of delectable snacks. However, their enjoyment quickly turns into terror as the Shadow Demon's laugh echoes throughout the chamber. The lights abruptly flicker, and the room is plunged into total darkness. The friends' individual shadows suddenly come to life, morphing into nightmarish replicas that chase them around the kitchen, causing chaos and confusion.

Frightened but determined, the gang reconvenes in the castle's central hall. As they share their harrowing experiences, Vincent Van Ghoul arrives, bringing with him a strategically placed magical lamp. The lamp casts an intense light, causing the Shadow Demon and the mischievous shadows to retreat temporarily. This gives the gang a moment of respite, allowing them to hatch a plan to trap the supernatural creature once and for all.

Armed with knowledge from the forbidden book and Vincent Van Ghoul's expertise, the gang formulates a plan to capture the Shadow Demon. They decide to use mirrors strategically positioned around the castle to reflect the intense light emitted by the magical lamp. By trapping the Shadow Demon's essence within multiple mirrors, they hope to seal it away permanently.

They divide into smaller groups and set out to implement their plan. Scooby and Shaggy find themselves in an eerie corridor, filled with numerous mirrors. With their hearts racing, they cautiously place the mirrors, carefully positioning each one to reflect the light directly at the lurking Shadow Demon.

As the light begins to shine, the Shadow Demon becomes agitated, its powers weakened by the intensity of the illumination. Sensing its defeat, it lashes out, causing the mirrors to shatter in an explosive display. Just as it seems that all hope is lost, Daphne and Scrappy arrive, bringing with them a powerful talisman that can momentarily immobilize the Shadow Demon.

With the Shadow Demon temporarily neutralized, the gang quickly regroups and improvises a new plan. Working together, they create a makeshift trap using sheets and tape to encase the Shadow Demon and effectively seal its darkness away. Finally, they succeed! The formidable and destructive Shadow Demon has been captured and ready to be sealed within the haunted chest, leaving the castle restored to its former tranquility.

With another ghost captured and their mission one step closer to completion, the gang bids farewell to Transylvania and heads off to their next supernatural destination. Amidst their farewells, Vincent Van Ghoul expresses his admiration for their bravery and teamwork, reminding them of the importance of their mission and urging them to continue their pursuit of the thirteen wayward ghosts.
