The Day Henry Met... is a children's show about a curious and adventurous little boy named Henry who meets new and interesting things every day. In season 1, episode 19 titled "The Substitute," Henry meets a substitute teacher.
As the episode begins, Henry is excited to go to school, but when he gets there, he finds out that his teacher, Mr. Sparks, is sick and there is a substitute teacher in his place. Henry is hesitant at first, not knowing what to expect from his new teacher, but he is soon pleasantly surprised.
The substitute teacher is Miss Lacey, a kind and energetic young woman who is excited to meet her new students. Henry is impressed by her enthusiasm and eager to learn from her. Henry is especially interested in learning about birds and asks Miss Lacey if she knows anything about penguins. Miss Lacey explains that penguins are birds that cannot fly and live in cold places like Antarctica. She also tells the class about the different types of penguins and shows them pictures of them.
As the day goes on, Henry becomes more and more impressed with Miss Lacey. She makes learning fun and exciting, and the students are engaged and eager to participate. When it's time for recess, Henry is disappointed because he doesn't want the day to end.
At the end of the day, Henry is sad to say goodbye to Miss Lacey, but he's grateful for all the things he learned. He realizes that having a substitute teacher can be a great experience and that learning new things can be a lot of fun.
As with every episode of The Day Henry Met..., "The Substitute" is engaging and educational.
