Ep 2. The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair

In season 1 episode 2 of The New Scooby Doo Movies, titled The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair, the Mystery Inc. gang teams up with the iconic superheroes Batman and Robin to solve a new mystery. They successfully manage to infiltrate the villain's hideout, but things take a turn for the worse when they get captured.

The heroes are thrown into a pit where they’re covered in a mysterious oily substance that makes them impossible to escape. Meanwhile, Shaggy, Scooby, and the rest of the gang are left to figure out a way to rescue them. The group splits up, with Fred and Velma searching for a way to shut down the laser gun, and Daphne, Shaggy, and Scooby attempting to free Batman and Robin.

The latter group takes a wrong turn and ends up in a room full of deadly traps that activate at the slightest touch. They must use all their wits to avoid these traps and ultimately save Batman and Robin. Once they’re free, the group reunites, and they all work together to take down The Joker and Penguin and retrieve the valuable ruby.

Like any classic Scooby Doo episode, there are plenty of hijinks and shenanigans along the way. At times, the heroes find themselves in silly predicaments that almost lead to their capture, but they always manage to escape just in the nick of time. The animation style and voice acting are as excellent as ever, and fans of both Scooby Doo and Batman will not be disappointed.
