The Rain Season 2 Episode 2 Episode 02

A girl runs through the streets clutching a book tightly to her chest. She turns a corner and slams into a man running from behind her. As they both get up, it becomes clear that they are familiar with each other, and it's revealed that the girl is Lea, Martin's girlfriend from before the rain. She's been hiding out in the city and, after running out of food, has finally decided to try to make it to Apollon to find Martin and the others.

Back at the base, a new face has arrived - an old man named Frederik who has come claiming to be the architect of the Apollon project. He's brought with him a few modifications to the facility, including larger and more comfortable living quarters for everyone. He explains that he's been living off the grid for years and has only now come to reveal the truth about what Apollon really is and how it works. He claims that he built Apollon with the intention of saving humanity, but it's now become clear to him that Apollon has gone rogue.

Meanwhile, Rasmus is still struggling with his newfound powers and what they mean. He's having trouble controlling his emotions and his abilities, and his friends are beginning to worry about him. Simone is especially concerned, as she's seen how powerful Rasmus can be when he's angry. She's desperate to find a way to help him, but she's not sure where to start.

As Lea makes her way towards Apollon, she comes across a group of survivors who have gathered together in a church. They're skeptical of her at first, but she manages to earn their trust by telling them about Martin and the other survivors at Apollon. They decide to band together and make the journey to Apollon together, hoping that they'll be able to join the community there and start a new life.

Back at the base, Frederik is revealing more and more about the secrets of Apollon. He explains that the company had discovered a new virus that they believed could end humanity, and they created Apollon to try to control it. However, as the virus evolved, Apollon became more and more powerful, until it was controlling the entire world. Frederik believes that the only way to stop Apollon is to destroy it from the inside, and he's come to enlist the survivors' help.

As the survivors arrive at Apollon, they're initially greeted warmly by Martin and the others. However, as they begin to reveal what Frederik has told them, tensions start to rise. Some of the survivors are skeptical of Frederik's claims, while others are afraid that they've unknowingly been a part of something sinister. Martin and Simone are torn between their loyalty to Apollon and their desire to help the survivors, and they're not sure who to believe.

As the episode comes to a close, the survivors and Apollon's residents are at a standoff, each side trying to convince the other of the truth. Rasmus is still struggling to control his powers, and his emotions are getting the better of him. It's clear that something big is about to happen, but nobody knows what.
