Ep 2. I Wish You'd Stay

Colt Bennett is a former semi-professional football player who has returned home to run the family ranch with his older brother, Jameson "Rooster" Bennett, and father, Beau Bennett. In season 7 episode 2, titled "I Wish You'd Stay," we find Colt and Abby struggling to adjust to their long-distance relationship as she prepares to leave for a job in Denver. Meanwhile, Colt and Rooster try to keep their bar afloat by hosting a beer pong tournament, but things quickly spiral out of control when they get too involved in the festivities.

As the episode begins, Colt and Abby are enjoying a lazy morning in bed, but their happy moments are short-lived when Abby gets a call from her new boss in Denver. As the tournament gets underway, things quickly escalate into a raucous party with heavy drinking and rowdy behavior. Colt and Rooster join in the fun, but soon realize they may have taken things too far when one of the contestants is injured and they're faced with a potential lawsuit.

Despite the chaos at the bar, Colt can't get Abby off his mind. He confides in Rooster, who tries to offer advice but ends up just making things worse. Colt decides to take matters into his own hands and surprise Abby by showing up in Denver unannounced. When he arrives, he's shocked to learn that Abby has already moved on with someone else. He tries to win her back, but she's not interested, leaving Colt heartbroken and alone in the big city.

Back in Garrison, Rooster is dealing with his own troubles when he realizes the extent of the financial problems at the bar. He's forced to admit to his family that they may have to close the business for good unless they can come up with a solution. Beau is initially skeptical, but ultimately offers to invest his own money to help keep the bar afloat.

As the episode draws to a close, Colt returns home to the ranch and attempts to find a way to move forward without Abby. Rooster works to turn the bar around with Beau's help, but it remains to be seen if they can save the struggling business. The episode ends on a somber note, with the future uncertain for all involved.
