He rushes up to the billboard and helps Marty to safety. Marty realizes that while fame is great, it's not worth risking his life for.

In the end, Billy wins the contest and is crowned the "Billboard Boy." Marty is happy for him and even though he didn't become famous, he is content with his life. The episode ends with the friends walking away, planning their next adventure.
