In this video we head out for our first hunt of 2020 and finally fill a tag!. Nebraska's regular deer hunting season is over but the antlerless only season is still open. We decide to contact a local landowner who allows us to hunt his ground during turkey season and see if we can hunt and try to put some meat in the freezer. It doesn't take long before we have several does in the field!

The Nebraska muzzleloader season is finally here! We have been trying to fill a few doe tags but with no luck we decide to head back to the "high wall" setup. We have high hopes that all the hunting pressure has pushed a few public land bucks back into this bedding area. We start off seeing a lot of does but when Brody returns with his bow he has an encounter with a nice public land buck!

Chance heads back to the "City Unit" where Brody last had some encounters with two shooter bucks and a bunch of young bucks. With the rut cranking up, the guys move tree stand locations in a pinch point to help catch cruising bucks that should be out searching for does. It has been a slow rut so far in Nebraska, but the guys finally start to see some cruising bucks.

Chance and dad are hunting over fresh buck sign near buck bedding areas and Brody heads to a spot we haven't hunted all year for a rut hunting setup. The hunt starts fast as he sees lots of small bucks and two giant shooter bucks while hunting marsh terrain. Chance and dad see some smaller bucks and during a morning hunt they have an encounter with the biggest buck they have seen this year!

In this video we are hunting near a buck bedding area that we have seen good buck movement in over the past few weeks. Right after first light, Brody spots a buck coming back to the bedding area. We also talk about our hang and hunt strategy and how these hunts are slightly different the "normal" hand and hunts we usually do.

In this video we return to the "high wall" setup and have a great mid-october bow hunt on public land. We should be right in the middle of the "October lull" but when you move in close to buck bedding areas you can still see good public land buck movement. The morning starts off slow with only a few doe groups but picks up mid-morning when Brody spots two shooter bucks!

Cooler weather and a cold front finally push through Nebraska and it has the bucks up and moving. Chance heads to a familiar property but to a new location. After getting trail camera pictures of lots of bucks, the guys made a plan to hunt specific bedding buck bedding areas. It doesn't take long to see a shooter buck... but will he cross the property line?

In this video Brody heads back to the spot where Chance spotted a large group of deer using a food source on public land. The goal of this hunt is to move closer for a possible shot opportunity and see where the deer are entering the field so we can figure out where the bedding areas are. After a slow and windy start to the hunt the does and bucks begin to pile into the field!

Chance heads to a new property and does some in-season scouting looking for fresh buck sign. After finding some fresh rubs and scrapes, Chance finds a treestand and is back that evening sitting over that fresh buck sign. The in-season scouting leads to multiple public land buck sightings as the cool evening had the deer up and moving.

We continue our velvet scouting tour on the "River Unit" and final put eyes on a couple velvet bucks. The purpose of this velvet scout was to monitor a buck bedding area that Chance had hunted last fall. We talk about hunting early season buck bedding, how we use velvet scouting to monitor buck bedding areas, and how we use our summer scouting to pinpoint stand locations for the early season.
