Four young mothers-to-be navigate the ups and downs of pregnancy and preparing for motherhood on the Australian reality series Yummy Mummies. In episode 2, the drama continues as Maria supports Rachel and Lorinska takes a pregnancy test.
The episode kicks off with Rachel and Maria catching up over breakfast. Rachel opens up about a medical scare she had during her pregnancy and how grateful she is to have supportive friends like Maria. Maria offers to accompany Rachel to her next appointment to give her some extra support.
Meanwhile, Lorinska and her partner Andrew are feeling the pressure to start a family, but Lorinska is nervous about the possibility of complications during pregnancy. Andrew encourages her to take a pregnancy test, but when the results are inconclusive, they decide to wait a bit longer before trying again.
Later, the girls meet up for a baby clothes shopping spree, but tensions rise when Maria and Jane clash over their differing opinions on what's fashionable. Maria insists that her taste is the only one that matters, while Jane argues that fashion changes all the time and it's important to keep up with the latest trends. Things get heated, but the girls manage to move on and enjoy the rest of their shopping excursion.
Back in Melbourne, Rachel takes Maria up on her offer to come to her doctor's appointment. During the appointment, Rachel learns that her baby's growth is not progressing as it should be, causing her a great deal of worry. Maria does her best to reassure her and provides some much-needed emotional support.
Meanwhile, back in Adelaide, Lorinska is feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of starting a family. She confides in her mother about her fears of the possible complications that could arise during pregnancy. Her mother provides some sage advice and helps Lorinska come to terms with her anxieties.
As the episode comes to a close, the girls gather for a fancy high tea, complete with champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Rachel announces that she's going to be having a gender reveal party and invites all the girls to come and celebrate with her. Everyone is excited for Rachel and can't wait to find out whether she's having a boy or a girl.
