Everyone has heard that lying is bad, but just how bad is it? This movie analyses this question to new finding levels. John Tucker is not your average cheater, he is like a double dater but worst, he is a triple dater. He thinks he has it all, and truly he does, but when his dates find out all sort of troubles will come raining down on him, from being framed for having herpes to wearing women underwear and yet turning all this misfortunes to his favor. His dates: Kate, Heather and Beth have made it their goal, after meeting shy but smart Carrie, to destroy John Tucker.
As the movie progresses we see that everyone has opposites, in John's case is his brother Scott. Scott throughout the movie plays the paper of conscience and crush of the main female character Carrie. After seeing the girls fight it was Carrie's idea to "take it out" on John Tucker rather than on each other. This teaches us another very important lesson which is to never stick your nose where it doesn't belong. As the rest of the movie develops we see there is more to John than the girls think specially at an emotional level.
The ending of the movie is just spectacular; it leaves us without words at the conclusion of everyone's ideas. Not only did John learn not to lie but the girls learn multiple lessons throughout the story, Carrie being the one that learn some of the most important ones. Even secondary characters learn important lesson in this movie making a great example to young adults in multiple levels of learning. A very interesting fact in the movie is how the main character doesn't end up with the most handsome guy but rather feels a strong attraction to his truthful, nothing like him, brother.
This movie is a great family movie and very impressive for all teenagers to learn new lessons in many aspects of life. The movie will have laughing at the many attempts the girls have to bring down John and later to how he ridicules them by using them to his advantage. If you are looking for a movie with a lot of laughs, an interesting story, a bit of romance and interesting learning facts and morals in every turn and corner make sure to watch this film as it is not only a great comedy for the whole family but also a good reference in why people shouldn't lie.
