The second was in Alabama when universities began to diversify and integrate all students into the same school. South Vietnam was suffering from a war between themselves and communist forces. In the Soviet Union, they launched their first rocket in a space race with the United States. In the meantime, President John F. Kennedy visited Germany where he gave one of his most heartfelt speeches in his career.
