Author C.S. Lewis, best known for his Chronicles of Narnia, is profiled in this documentary, narrated by Ben Kingsley. Lewis’s life had its share of triumphs and tragedies from his childhood in Ireland and the death of his mother to the devastation of the First World War, events that resulted in his turning toward atheism. Lives, however, are complicated. Lewis’s later years saw him achieve a brilliant academic career and a rediscovery of Christianity. The film also examines key relationships in his life among them his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien and his late marriage to his wife Joy.
