TUT is the miniseries that focuses on the young life of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The 3 day series that spans 6 hours of airtime follows the history of the short lived boy Pharaoh with all of the drama, scandal, and betrayal that ensues. It shows how he had to marry his sister to keep the bloodline pure and how he had to become Pharaoh at the age of 9, because his father was poisoned. Then it showed how he felt compassion and wanted to be a good person, but it made him look weak to all around him, and then it skips ahead ten years to show what became of the land after his father died. King Tut struggled during his later years to truly maintain his power because as a younger child he allowed his advisers to run the kingdom. This proves to be troublesome throughout the series as his advisers do not want to give up the power they were privy to throughout his life. He is forced to assert his power, and this is when he learns who is truly working for him, and who is working against him. Therefore, exposing all that had been hidden from him in the past, and he was even left for dead in one battle episode. This series is a true find for anyone who is into ancient Egyptian history, likes action, or drama. It holds all of this in the simple six hour series. The betrayals that go on between the people who are supposed to love the Pharaoh, the sex, and the battles have made this series very intriguing.
