New Orleans is a city known for its colorful history, vibrant culture, and haunted past. But behind the beauty and charm lies a long and sordid history of crime and corruption. In this episode, viewers are taken on a guided tour through some of the most notorious crimes that have taken place in the city.

The episode opens with a reenactment of a brutal murder that took place in the French Quarter. The victim, a young woman named Addie Hall, was brutally murdered by her boyfriend, Zack Bowen. Bowen, a former army vet, suffered from PTSD and struggled to readjust to civilian life. The couple's relationship was fraught with tension and eventually turned incredibly violent. Bowen killed Hall, dismembered her body, and scattered her remains throughout the city. The New Orleans police department launched an extensive manhunt for Bowen, who eventually committed suicide by jumping off a hotel rooftop.

The second segment of the episode focuses on the so-called "Axeman" of New Orleans. In 1918, a serial killer began terrorizing the city, breaking into people's homes and bludgeoning his victims to death with an axe. The Axeman's crimes were incredibly violent, and the police were unable to catch him until he wrote a cryptic letter to the local newspaper, claiming that he would strike again on a certain night but would spare anyone who was playing jazz music in their homes. The ploy worked, and the Axeman never struck again.

Next, the episode delves into the story of Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. Laveau was a renowned voodoo practitioner who used her powers to help the people of New Orleans. Her reputation as a healer and spiritual guide made her a beloved figure in the city. But her life was not without its secrets. Laveau was a savvy businesswoman who used her connections to amass a significant fortune. She was also rumored to have engaged in more nefarious activities, such as using her powers to curse those who crossed her.

Finally, the episode explores the bizarre story of Dr. Carl Weiss, who was accused of assassinating the controversial Louisiana Governor, Huey Long. Long was a charismatic figure who had many enemies in the state. In 1935, he was shot by Weiss, a prominent physician and the son-in-law of a political rival. Weiss was quickly gunned down by Long's bodyguards and died at the scene. The assassination has remained a mystery to this day, with many speculating that Long's enemies orchestrated the killing.
