3096 Days is a 2013 biographical drama film that tells the real-life story of Natascha Kampusch, an Austrian girl who was abducted and held captive for more than eight years. The movie is a gripping and emotional portrayal of Kampusch's harrowing experience, from her abduction at age 10 to her eventual escape at age 18. Antonia Campbell-Hughes plays the role of Natascha Kampusch, and she does a fantastic job of bringing her character to life. She accurately portrays the physical and emotional toll that being held captive takes on a person, and it's easy to sympathize with her throughout the film. Thure Lindhardt plays the role of Wolfgang Priklopil, Kampusch's kidnapper, and he is equally convincing in his portrayal of a disturbed and dangerous man.

The movie is told in a non-linear fashion, with scenes jumping back and forth in time to show different aspects of Kampusch's captivity. We see her being taken from her home, forced into a small dungeon, and subjected to a variety of physical and emotional abuse. Campbell-Hughes does an excellent job of showing the character's fear and desperation as she struggles to understand and survive in her new, horrible circumstances.

As the years go by, we see Kampusch's relationship with Priklopil shift and change. At times, he is cruel and unpredictable, while at other times he seems almost caring and sympathetic. Lindhardt gives his character depth and complexity, and his scenes with Campbell-Hughes are some of the movie's most intense and disturbing.

One of the most interesting things about the movie is its portrayal of the media frenzy that surrounded Kampusch's kidnapping and eventual release. We see how Kampusch's story became a national obsession, with news crews and journalists camping outside her family's home at all hours of the day and night. Amelia Pidgeon plays a journalist who becomes obsessed with Kampusch's story, and she does an excellent job of showing the character's desperation to get the scoop and advance her career.

Overall, 3096 Days is a powerful and moving film that does justice to Natascha Kampusch's harrowing story. The performances are excellent across the board, and the non-linear storytelling adds depth and complexity to the narrative.
