Young suburban teenage Timmy Price (Mason Gamble) pursues his newly discovered talent and passion for golf while serving as a caddy in an exclusive country club. Seeking guidance from down-and-out local golf legend, Foster Pearse (Gary Sinise), striving to gain acceptance and understanding from among fellow caddies, and gaining his father's approval are among the many challenges Timmy faces as he learns more about himself and the people around him. Meanwhile, against the peaceful backdrop of clubhouse fun and gentlemanly competition on the golf course, there is trouble in paradise; and Timmy is forced to think and act for himself. Boasting a talented cast of recognized character-actors (including Dylan Baker, Philip Baker Hall, and Brian Doyle-Murray), this film offers an intricately woven blend of comedy, drama, and social commentary in this coming-of-age tale about principles, loss of innocence, and age-old inequities of the real world.
