A.X.L. is a 2018 action-adventure movie directed by Oliver Daly and produced by David S. Goyer. It stars Alex Neustaedter as Miles Hill, a motocross-loving teenager who becomes friends with a top-secret experimental robotic dog named A.X.L. (pronounced "Axel"). The movie also features Becky G as Sara Reyes, Miles' love interest, and Alex MacNicoll as Sam Fontaine, Miles' rival and the main antagonist.

The movie is set in a near-future world where the military has developed advanced robotic technology, including a robotic dog named A.X.L. that can think, feel, and learn like a real dog. A.X.L. is designed as a weapon, but when he escapes from the military base where he was created, he is found by Miles, who takes him in and bonds with him.

Miles and A.X.L. quickly become inseparable, and Miles begins to train A.X.L. to be a motocross racing companion. However, their peaceful existence is soon disrupted when Sam, Miles' rival, discovers A.X.L. and tries to steal him for his own purposes. Sam is working for a mysterious organization that wants to use A.X.L. as a weapon for their own gain.

As Miles and Sara try to protect A.X.L. from Sam and the organization that is after him, they begin to uncover the truth about A.X.L.'s origins and the danger that he poses to the world. Along the way, they also confront their own fears and weaknesses, and learn the importance of trust, loyalty, and friendship.

The movie is full of thrilling action sequences, with A.X.L. showcasing his impressive capabilities as a robotic dog. There are also plenty of heartwarming moments, as Miles and A.X.L. develop a deep bond that transcends their differences.

Neustaedter delivers a solid performance as Miles, imbuing his character with a mix of teenage angst and determination. Becky G brings a refreshing energy to the movie as Sara, adding a much-needed dimension of romance and friendship to the story. MacNicoll is suitably menacing as Sam, and his character provides a great foil for Miles and A.X.L.

The visual effects in the movie are impressive, with A.X.L. looking and moving like a real dog. The motocross scenes are also well-executed, adding to the excitement of the movie.

Overall, A.X.L. is an enjoyable action-adventure movie that will appeal to fans of science fiction and animal stories. It has a good mix of action, humor, and heart, and its main message about the power of friendship is a universal one that will resonate with audiences of all ages.
