Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri is a 1990 Bollywood film directed by Aziz Sejawal and produced by Iqbal Baig. The movie stars the popular comedic duo, Govardhan Asrani and Gulshan Grover along with Jamuna. The plot is centered around a father-son duo who have different approaches to life. The movie begins with a prosperous businessman, Seth Dhanpath Rai (AK Hangal), who is looking for his long-lost son. He had separated from his wife and son due to a family feud years ago. However, he is keen to reunite with his son and welcomes him with open arms.
Unfortunately, he is in for a surprise when his son, Gyaneshwar (Gulshan Grover) turns out to be a notorious conman who lives off his cunning and wits. He has a sidekick, Bandya (Asrani) who assists him in his cons. They soon get wind of Dhanpath Rai's wealth and decide to extract some of it for themselves.
However, Gyaneshwar's father is not one to be fooled easily. Despite being unaware of his son's notorious nature, he employs a private detective (Samrat Mukherjee) to keep tabs on Gyaneshwar. Meanwhile, Gyaneshwar tries to convince his father that he is a reformed man and wants to make amends for his past deeds.
However, things take an unexpected turn when the detective uncovers a shocking truth about Gyaneshwar's past. The revelation fractures the relationship between father and son even further. The young man faces an uphill battle to prove his innocence and regain his father's trust.
The movie features some delightful performances by Asrani and Grover. Asrani is at his comic best as the bumbling sidekick who manages to get into more trouble than his boss. Grover is equally impressive as the smooth-talking conman who ultimately learns the error of his ways.
The movie also presents a charming portrayal of a father-son relationship that is put to the test. AK Hangal delivers another memorable performance as the stern but loving father who wants nothing but the best for his son. The chemistry between the three actors is the movie's highlight.
The movie is also well-paced, with the narrative moving briskly from one scene to another. The script by Santosh Saroj is witty and packs in enough laughs to keep the viewer entertained throughout.
The music by Nadeem-Shravan is another highlight of the movie. The soundtrack includes some catchy tunes, including the popular song "Maine Paidal Se Ja Raha Tha." The movie also boasts some impressive dance sequences featuring Govinda and Chunky Pandey.
Overall, Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri is an entertaining movie that makes for a fun watch. It's a classic tale of redemption and forgiveness that is nicely woven together with humor and drama. The movie is a must-watch for fans of Asrani and Grover, who deliver some fantastic performances.
