Bad Country is a drama, action and adventure film that is directed by Chris Brinker. This film stars Matt Dillon as Jesse Weiland and William Dafoe as Bud Carter. The film is based in Baton Rouge. It also co-stars Amy Smart and Neal McDonough. The film is about Carter and contract killer Weiland teaming up against mob boss Lutin Adams, played by Tom Berenger. Lutin puts a contract out on Weiland for becoming an informant after being busted by Carter. Carter busted Weiland on weapons and drug charges but Carter wants a bigger fish. To avoid a long prison sentence and to also protect his wife Lynn played by Amy Smart and his newborn son. However in order to launch the investigation Carter needs to enlist the help of Federal agents. The film is full of betrayal as Weiland and Carter are constantly left with a price on their heads. Weiland and Carter both know that this is a game of survival of the fittest. In order to come out on top of the game, the unlikely pair must capture and get to Lutin before the Feds can; that is the only way for them to survive.
