Child's Play 3

"Child's Play 3" is the third installment of the "Child's Play" horror movie series. The series features Chucky, an evil doll who was originally a notorious criminal named Charles Lee Ray. Ray used a voodoo spell to move his spirit into a "Good Guy" doll after suffering a gunshot wound during a shootout with the Chicago police. The first two "Child's Play" movies involved Chucky pursuing a young boy named Andy Barclay. Chucky wanted to kill Andy so that he could transfer his soul into the boy. "Child's Play 3" is set several years after the ending of the previous installment. Andy (Justin Whalin) is now a teenager and is attending a military academy. Chucky pursues him there. The evil doll's remains were reconstructed by Play Pals, the company that was initially responsible for creating the Good Guy dolls. After being reconstructed, Chucky springs back to life and kills the company's CEO. Chucky uses the CEO's records to find Andy's whereabouts and continues his pursuit. This time, he targets Andy's young friend Ronald Tyler (Jeremy Sylvers) for soul transference. He also confronts Andy and taunts him that he has returned. Andy's hopes to defeat Chucky again are assisted by Kristen DeSilva (Perry Reeves), a young woman whom Andy is interested in. Andy and his friends try to destroy Chucky. The film climaxes in a battle at the amusement park where the conflict between Andy and Chucky is resolved once and for all. Chucky has become one of the pop culture icons of the horror film genre. Dolls modeled after him are sold in stores. Chucky has appeared in a total of five films, with a sixth in production. He is voiced by Brad Dourif. Fans of the series will surely want to check out this installment if they have not already seen it.
