Crank: High Voltage
Crank: High Voltage is the sequel to Crank. Chev Chelios wakes up after falling onto an intersection and is picked up by Chinese medics, led by a gangster named Vang. Chelios is awakened when Chinese surgeons at a makeshift hospital are attempting to remove his heart. The doctors place his heart in a cooler and surgically replace it with an artificial heart. Three months later, he escapes the hospital and searches for his heart. With a battery pack attached, Chelios needs to continuously recharge it in order to avoid death. Chelios gets in contact with Doc Miles. Doc informs Chelios about the artificial heart and told him that once the external battery pack is out, the internal battery will kick in. The internal battery has a 60 minute timer before the battery dies. Later, the external battery pack is destroyed when Chelios is involved in a car crash. He uses jumper cables from a driver in order to recharge his heart. Chelios confronts Vang, but loses him soon after. He befriends a prostitute named Ria, who aids Chelios in tracking down Vang. Chelios goes to a strip club where Vang frequents and finds his love interest, Eve, working there. A Mexican mob confronts Chelios, leading to a gunfight. After fending off an entire police squad, Chelios steals a police car. Eve follows Chelios as he continues to track down Vang. Chelios searchs for Vang at a local race track, but is captured by the Triads. Poon Dong, the leader, was in search of a heart transplant and decided to use Chelios’ heart. Chelios finds Vang, then finds out that Chelios’ heart was already implanted. Chelios eventually kills Vang. Doc Miles and his secretary locates Poon Dong. Chelios later encounters El Huron of the Mexican mob. El Huron is killed after a gunfight. Chelios gets his heart back, which Doc reattaches to his patient.
