Watch Dead Birds

William leads some Confederates who have gone AWOL. With help from escaped slave Todd, and Army nurse Annabelle, they rob a bank of Rebel gold and later camp out in an abandoned mansion. When a storm stirs, Joseph stables the horses, but vanishes soon after. This begins a series of supernatural occurrences; Sam is haunted by the owner's ghost; Todd sees a dark ritual being carried out; Clyde sees Joseph shambling outside; William and Annabelle wake from guard duty with the gold missing, thinking Clyde took it. As William tracks Clyde, a possessed Sam shows Annabelle a ritual that turned the mansion's family into canine demons. After Sam dies, Annabelle begs William to leave, with Todd joining them. However, they discover that their horses were butchered. Todd hallucinates and tries to leave. Since William won't leave without gold, Annabelle follows him into the house. Back in the field, Sam, possessed, attacks Todd. When William and Annabelle head back, finding Clyde pitched like a scarecrow. Spooked, they run off, separate, and stop when William mistakenly shoots Annabelle. The next day, William is attacked by a dog and shot by authorities. Upon finding the gold, two soldiers investigate the house.
