Des Pardes is a 1978 Indian drama film directed by Dev Anand and produced by Dev Anand under the banner of Navketan International Films. The movie features Dev Anand, Tina Munim, Ajit Khan, Pran Sikand and Amjad Khan in lead roles. The film revolves around Ravi (Dev Anand), a young man from a small village who moves to Bombay to make a living. On his journey to the city, Ravi meets Mohini (Tina Munim) on the train and instantly falls in love with her. Upon arriving in Bombay, he discovers that life in the city is tough and that finding work is not easy. Meanwhile, he also learns that Mohini is the daughter of the wealthy Seth Karamchand (Pran Sikand), who does not approve of Ravi due to his low social status.
Despite the hardships, Ravi refuses to give up and eventually finds work at a garage owned by a kind-hearted Sikh, played by Ajit Khan. Ravi also befriends a group of young laborers who are fighting for their rights against their exploitative employers. As he becomes more involved in their cause, Ravi begins to question the corrupt system that allows powerful businessmen to take advantage of the working class.
The movie addresses various social issues prevalent during the time, such as the exploitation of workers and the class divide between the rich and poor. Dev Anand's character serves as a voice for the oppressed and stands up against the powerful forces working against them.
One of the highlights of the movie is its music, which was composed by the legendary composer duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal. The soundtrack features popular songs such as "Jab Bhi Koi Kangana Bole", "Aa Dekhen Zara", and "Raat Jab Chali".
