Doll Squad is a 1973 film that was directed by Ted V. Mikels. The movie is a low budget action film that follows a group of female agents who are each skilled in different forms of martial arts, weaponry and espionage. These women are brought together by a man named Ecks, who is an agent with the government. Ecks recruits the women to help stop a terrorist group known as the "Gallery of Evil". The terrorist group is led by a mastermind who goes by the name of "The Chinese Dragon".

The movie begins with a series of attacks by the Gallery of Evil on various targets including rocket tests and laboratories. Ecks believes that the group is planning a major attack and sets out to recruit the Doll Squad to help him stop them. The Doll Squad consists of Sabrina Kincaid, played by Francine York, Laina, played by Sherri Vernon, Petra, played by Tura Satana and the leader of the group, Charlotte, played by Michael Ansara. Each of these women have their own unique set of skills which they use to help take down the Gallery of Evil.

As the Doll Squad begin their mission they encounter various obstacles and challenges. These include fighting off hired mercenaries and infiltrating the Gallery of Evil's secret base. The group also has to deal with some internal conflict as Petra struggles with some unresolved issues from her past. However, the group manages to work through their differences and ultimately emerge victorious.

One of the standout aspects of Doll Squad is the emphasis on the female characters. At a time where women in cinema were often reduced to background characters or damsels in distress, Doll Squad features a group of strong, capable women who are portrayed as equals to their male counterparts. Each character has their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and the film doesn't shy away from showing the women engaging in fist fights, firing weapons and driving fast cars.

The film also incorporates several elements of the spy genre including elaborate gadgets, secret bases and witty banter between the characters. The tone of the movie is largely lighthearted with a healthy dose of humor thrown in. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously and as a result, it's a fun and enjoyable viewing experience.

While the acting and special effects in Doll Squad aren't exactly top-notch, the movie is still entertaining thanks to its engaging characters and fast-paced action. The fight scenes are particularly exciting, with the female characters displaying some impressive martial arts skills. The film also features some great chase scenes with the Doll Squad pursuing their enemies in various vehicles including a helicopter and a speedboat.

Overall, Doll Squad is a cult classic that's well worth checking out for fans of action movies, especially those with a penchant for spy films. While it might not be the most polished movie out there, it more than makes up for it with its strong female characters, fun action sequences and engaging storyline.
