Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives
While in Canada, he meets up with Rick Diesel, the guitarist of a local band trying to make it big. Eddie joins Rick and they form a band consisting of local musicians. Continuing to conceal his true identity, his band members continue to call him Joe, though unbeknownst to them, he is the real Eddie Wilson. The band is named Rock Solid. Eddie starts to have flashbacks of his former life while the band starts a tour. Eddie and Rick start to have a disagreement. A woman who Rick met at a past gig urges the band to audition for the Montreal Music Festival. Eddie is not pleased by this, but decides that the band should go through with it. Eddie fears that playing with the band in a public venue would likely expose him of his recluse lifestyle.
While the band hides away in a cabin to prevent any distractions, things fall apart between the band and Eddie. Later on, the real Eddie was revealed to the band. Hilton, one of the band’s members, knew that it was Eddie from the start. After the band successfully auditions for the music festival, Eddie meets with Sal, his longtime friend. They argue about the past twenty years of their band’s mishaps. They discuss the mystery tapes that were somehow recorded during Eddie’s supposed death. Eddie returns to Montreal for the music festival. He joins his band for a performance on stage, where he tells the world that he is indeed Eddie Wilson, confirming that he is actually alive.
