Ethiri is a Tamil-language Indian film which was released on 20 August 2004. The movie is a romantic thriller and features R. Madhavan and Sadha in the lead roles. Malini is determined to prove Selva's innocence and hires a lawyer, who eventually helps to get Selva released from jail.

However, Selva's ordeal is far from over. Anbu is still after him and tries to kill him several times. Selva and Malini decide to take matters into their own hands and plan to kill Anbu. They eventually succeed in their plan, but are then haunted by the consequences of their actions.

The remaining parts of the movie are about how Selva and Malini deal with the aftermath of killing Anbu and the various complications that arise as a result. Selva becomes increasingly paranoid, and Malini struggles to keep him grounded. They also have to deal with the police investigating Anbu's murder and the possibility of being caught.
