Flawless is a comedy drama film that was released in 1999. The film involves a very conservative police officer, who has always led a life that is very modest. He is also a very homophobic man. However, the officer ends up suffering a stroke that leaves him unable to work. The department assigns him to a rehab program where he has to take singling lessons with his next door neighbor. This is compounded with the problem that his neighbor is also a drag queen. The officer ends up becoming a lover of singing, and ends up bonding with his neighbor. This results in him having to confront his past behavior, and to work past his homophobic beliefs. Flawless was written and directed by Joel Schumacher. The homophobic police officer by the name of Walt Koontz is played by Robert De Niro. The neighbor drag queen by the name of Rusty is played by Philip Seymour Hoffman.
