Four Rooms (1995) is a comedy about a bellboy, played by Tim Roth, who gets involved in four distinctive stories. Each story is directed by a different independent filmmaker, but are all interconnected through its time, on New Year's Eve, its location, in the hotel, Mon Signor, and its main character, the rookie bellhop, Ted. In the first short the bellhop, Ted, is invited to help a witch fulfill a spell. The short, directed by Allison Anders, features some nudity and a plot line full of magic. The second short is a tense moment in Ted’s night. He stumbles into a domestic dispute between lovers that results in Ted looking down the barrel of a gun. Time is running out and Ted must make a crucial decision. The third short, directed by Robert Rodriguez, has Ted hired by a gangster, played by Antonio Banderas, to watch his children for the night. The kids are every babysitter’s worst nightmare. The list is nearly endless of mischief and problems they cause the poor bellboy. The comedy is slapstick and corky. Rodriguez drives home the feelings of what it was like to be a kid stuck in a hotel room on vacation, while our parents were out getting drunk. The fourth and final tale, starring, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, involves a large wager that the bellhop must take part in in order to make $1,000. The party is over and it's now very late
