Hell Bent For Leather is a 1960 American Western film directed by George Sherman and starring Audie Murphy, Felicia Farr, and Stephen McNally. The movie tells the story of Clay Santell (Audie Murphy), a former soldier who is mistaken for a criminal and hunted by a posse of men led by the vengeful Travers (Stephen McNally). The film opens with Santell riding into a small town, where he stops at a general store to buy some supplies. While he is inside, a group of men ride into town and rob the bank. Santell is mistaken for one of the robbers by Travers, a local rancher who has a personal vendetta against the criminal gang.

Although Santell tries to convince Travers of his innocence, the angry posse is unwilling to listen and sets out to capture him. Santell is forced to flee on horseback into the wilderness, hoping to outrun the angry mob.

As he travels through the rugged terrain, Santell meets a woman named Janet Gifford (Felicia Farr), who is traveling to her father's ranch. She gives him shelter for the night and tells him that her father, a former sheriff, may be able to help him clear his name. However, when they arrive at the ranch, they find that Gifford has been killed by the robbers, who are now after Santell.

Santell is left with no choice but to continue running and he decides to head for a nearby town, where he hopes to find evidence that will clear his name. In the meantime, Travers and his men are closing in on him, and Santell must fight to stay alive and prove his innocence.

The movie is a classic Western that features all the traditional elements of the genre, including gunfights, horseback chases, and rugged landscapes. Audie Murphy, a real-life war hero, delivers a strong performance as the determined Clay Santell, who is willing to do whatever it takes to clear his name.

Stephen McNally is equally impressive as the vengeful Travers, who is so consumed by his desire for revenge that he fails to see the truth. Felicia Farr also shines in her role as Janet Gifford, a strong-willed woman who is not afraid to stand up to the men who are chasing Santell.

Overall, Hell Bent For Leather is a thrilling Western that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. It's a classic tale of justice and revenge set against the backdrop of the American West, and it's a must-see for fans of the genre.
