Jester Till is a 2003 German animated film directed by Eberhard Junkersdorf and written by Toby Genkel. The film tells the story of a small village in the Middle Ages that is ruled by a cruel and oppressive king named Augustin (voiced by Mario Adorf). Augustin's jester, Till (voiced by Benedict Weber), is a mischievous prankster who often finds himself on the wrong side of the king's wrath.

Despite his antics, Till has a good heart and a desire to help those in need. One day, he overhears a group of villagers discussing how they can overthrow the king and bring about a new era of peace and prosperity. Till sees this as his chance to redeem himself in the eyes of the king and help the people of the village.

With the help of his friend, the talking horse Horace (voiced by Friedrich von Thun), Till sets out to find a powerful weapon that can defeat the king's army. Along the way, they encounter a beautiful young woman named Lena (voiced by Veronica Ferres), who is being held captive by the king's men. Till and Horace rescue Lena and the three of them continue on their quest.

As they journey through dangerous forests and treacherous mountains, Till and his companions are pursued by the king's army, led by the villainous Black Knight (voiced by Joachim Meyerhoff). The Black Knight is determined to capture and kill Till, but the clever jester always manages to stay one step ahead.

Eventually, Till and his friends discover the weapon they have been seeking – a powerful magical staff that can control the elements of nature. With this weapon in their hands, they launch a final assault on the king's castle, hoping to end his reign of terror once and for all.

Jester Till is a classic adventure story, filled with action, humor, and heart. The animation, while not as polished as some Hollywood productions, is still impressive and the voice acting is excellent. Benedict Weber brings just the right amount of mischief and charm to the character of Till, while Mario Adorf gives a suitably menacing performance as the king.

Veronica Ferres is also a standout as Lena, providing the perfect balance of toughness and vulnerability. The chemistry between her and Weber is palpable, and their banter provides some of the film's funniest moments.

Overall, Jester Till is a delightful family film that will appeal to audiences of all ages. It's a story about friendship, loyalty, and standing up for what's right – themes that are as relevant today as they were in the Middle Ages. So if you're looking for a fun and heartwarming adventure, look no further than Jester Till.
